Out August 28th, Ledisi's 9th studio album is a testament to the power of getting back to the basics. On The Wild Card, Ledisi co-produced and co-wrote the entire album. She touched everything from melody and background vocals to chord progressions and songwriting. The music has R&B at every stage; old school, modern, 90's, neo-soul. It is Ledisi at her most vibrant and eclectic: rooted in familiarity and yet taking the type of chances only she can take.
